HISTORY HJB-Advanced2 Featuring KTS

HISTORY, the original guitar brand developed by Shimamura Music, Japan’s largest musical instrument retailer, was launched in 1994.

Based on traditional designs, the brand’s philosophy is: “We want guitarists and bassists to play truly excellent, ideal instruments.”

Since its inception, HISTORY has been recognized for precision craftsmanship and high-quality domestic production. Several of its models incorporate KTS titanium components, valued for their contribution to long-term neck stability and tonal clarity.

The recently introduced HJB-Advanced2, a JB-style bass, is one of the latest models to feature KTS titanium parts.

At first glance, the HJB-Advanced2 presents the familiar form of a traditional JB-type instrument, but its specifications reflect numerous refinements:

Carefully selected tonewoods, chosen for tonal balance and responsiveness.
Original pickup and circuit design, using high-quality U.S.-made components.
A 22-fret configuration, offering an extended range and improved playability.
A deep neck joint, providing tight, focused resonance.
A KTS titanium support bar built into the neck, effectively reducing warping and twisting for long-term stability.
The bridge features KTS’s titanium saddle “PR-03SP,” providing clear note separation and high responsiveness.

Additional features include:

A two-way truss rod, adjustable in both directions.
Meticulous domestic manufacturing, ensuring consistent build quality.

Through these design elements, the HJB-Advanced2 achieves a balance of traditional style and modern performance.

KTS is honored that its titanium support bar and titanium bridge saddles (PR-03SP) have been selected for this model, contributing to its tone, stability, and overall durability.
