“HISTORY" is a high-end guitar brand designed and marketed by SHIMAMURA MUSIC, the largest musical instrument sales chain in Japan. Some of the models have been equipped with titanium saddles and bridges and neck reinforcement rods made by KTS. Recently, titanium neck plates custom-made by KTS have been adopted in their new top-end models.
These super high-end HISTORY handmade guitars and basses have a vintage tone, but with a sound that can still be used in today's music scene. Top-quality materials such as JESCAR frets and Gotoh machine heads are used throughout, and for the first time in the regular lineup, each guitar is handmade by a highly skilled private guitar workshop.
These models feature an originally designed heel-cut shape to further improve playability in the high position. For this reason, the joint plate has a unique shape with a rounded cut where the palm of the hand touches.
